                        Lets talk about our presentations!

Girl giving a speech

On Wednesday May 12 was an amazing day for Speech 1017! On this day we all presented on chapters three, nine, and ten. I'll be honest I was really nervous! I have social anxiety so presentations are quite hard for me, but since this class is over blackboard collaborative its much easier! presenting always results in me having a mini panic attack, but since everyone was so encouraging and so friendly (some one even said they liked my room!) my part went by smoothly. Everyone's presentations also went so great. My peers did such a great job introducing the material and explaining everything in an easy way to understand. It was so nice learning about new topic and learning new things about some materials i already knew about. I think professor sherri's Sinkoff class is going to be great!

My group (group one) presented chapter three, this chapter was about Intercultural communication. Myself specifically, I presented on Ethnicity, Native language, Sex, and Gender. Some of my group mates presented on things such as, values, ideal values, dominant culture, culture, and much more!

Group number two presented on chapter nine. This chapter's presentation was about group

communication. Group number three presented on chapter ten which was about leadership! I think

my group did an amazing job explaining and finding great informational videos on the topic that were

presented. The other groups also did an great job demonstrating they're information. Overall everyone

did great! (good job everyone!)

Now lets talk about  what i learned and my experience with the presentations! So i will start out with
chapter nine and what i learned from group number two! Group two's chapter was about Communicating
in groups. Somethings I got to in this presentation learned were the nature and types of groups, for
example, a family a type of group the definition is a family is a group of people who, through their
comcommunication, generate a sense of home, group identity, history, and future. Over all this group

presented the information well and i was able to learn new things!

Now on to the last group! Group number three and they're chapter ten! Chapter ten was about Group

leadership and problem solving. Group number three explained such things as, how leaderships function

in teams, described how to run effective meetings and more! I liked learning about leadership because as

a person who is very shy and nevr speaks outs its great to learn about leadership skills and tools. Learning

about these things can help me and others out there to use these resources in the future. Leadership is

about influencing others to achieve common goals. Overall group number three did an excellent job

showing us great information on they're chapter!

Now for my final thoughts on these presentations! In my opinion I think everything went smoothly and

everyone did a fantastic job presention theyre chapters and theyre information. Some of my peers also

had such informative videos explaining there topics in such an easy way to learn. Overall everything

went great thank you to all my peers for creating amazing presentations!
